About Me

A lawyer who understands the entrepreneur

Attorney for small and medium-sized business owners, contractors, and employers. Proven specialist in corporate law, construction law, and employment law. Nearly ten years of experience, including at a large law firm.

How It All Began

My name is Bas Labee. My parents were lawyers and ran their own law firm. As a result, the law was always a part of my life—not as something abstract, but as a profession centered on substance, responsibility, and diligence.

After graduating, I worked at two law firms in the Randstad, where I practiced law at a high level and advised business owners. In that setting, I saw what really matters to them: clarity about their position, the risks, the next steps, and the associated costs. The traditional “hourly billing” model doesn’t always align well with that.

In my work, I've had the opportunity to work closely with many entrepreneurs. I've seen how legal issues directly impact their businesses, their time, and their focus. It is precisely in those situations that the need for clarity, speed, and practical solutions is greatest.

That combination shapes the way I work. I speak the language of entrepreneurs, understand the context, and say what needs to be said—not just what’s pleasant to hear. That way, you know where you stand and what the best next step is.

What I Stand For

Direct and Honest

I'll tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. If going to court doesn't make sense, I'll tell you so.

Transparent About Costs

Fixed and flexible pricing agreements. You’ll have a clear understanding of the costs and the expected turnaround time in advance.

Fast and accessible

An initial response within 24 hours. Not next week, not “we’ll get back to you.”

Strategic

I provide advice or represent you in legal proceedings. You remain in control of your business.

Subject with Content

I was drawn to the law because of what it achieves in practice: clarity, accountability, and diligence. That’s what I base my practice on.

Large office

Nearly ten years of experience, including time at a large firm. I have primarily worked with business owners.

An Eye for Entrepreneurship

I understand the pressures of running a business and know what legal uncertainty means for a company.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Your Questions

Everything you need to know before you contact us. Can't find your question here? Feel free to contact us—there's no obligation.

The first consultation is non-binding. I’ll discuss your case, provide an initial assessment, and, where possible, a price estimate. Only once you decide to move forward will we make clear agreements about the costs!

I work with clear pricing agreements established in advance. Depending on the case, this may be a fixed fee (a set price, regardless of the number of hours), a success fee (a lower base rate with a surcharge in the event of a successful outcome), or a retainer fee (a fixed amount per period for ongoing legal advice). For interim assignments, the terms depend on the duration and nature of the assignment. That way, you always know where you stand.

A good lawyer often saves you money. A bad lawyer often costs you money. I work efficiently, communicate transparently about costs, and offer flexible fee arrangements. You pay for results.

You'll receive a response within 24 hours. For urgent matters, you can reach me directly by phone. No wait times, no being transferred.

It's possible. With many legal expense insurance policies, you have the right to choose your own attorney. That means you can choose your own attorney, and the costs will be covered by your insurer. Please contact me, and I'll check whether this applies to your case.

I speak your language, understand your reality, and contribute strategic insights. Nearly ten years of experience, three proven areas of expertise, transparent pricing, and prompt communication. That’s Labee.

Yes, subject to availability, I am available for temporary (part-time) interim assignments. Among other things, I can be engaged for specific projects, to substitute for a lawyer or legal professional (who is sick or on maternity leave), and to support an organization during busy periods. A fixed number of hours, either on-site or remotely, is also possible. Feel free to contact me to discuss the possibilities.
